In order to offer services to the most vulnerable citizens of the West Island community, WICA needs your support. The Great Canadian Giving Challenge gives you the opportunity to help us out and gives us the chance to carry out our mission. Here’s why:
It costs $250 monthly to provide support to a resident struggling with a mental illness.
It costs $100 a month to provide much-needed support to an isolated and vulnerable senior.
Last year, WICA offered 17 types of services including defense of rights, crisis solving and grocery help. The most requested service is friendly visiting. We welcome you to take a look at our webpage People Helping People to meet our protégés looking for some company!
In light of a deteriorating health care system, community organizations such as WICA are routinely called upon to fill in the gaps by providing tangible support services.
Most of all, the purpose of the Great Canadian Giving Challenge is to remind people how much it is important to contribute to their own community’s well being!
