Thank you so much West Island Community Shares (WICS) for your generous donation!
A big thank you to the Kirkland Concert Band and all those who came out in support of our Mother’s Day Concert and Tea on Saturday, May 7 at the Dorval Strathmore Church. More than $900 was raised and all proceeds will go to fund the many programs WICA offers.
Ursula Barry (Oddy), right, was a pillar of the Pointe-Claire community. WICA could count on her at the drop of a hat to come through for vulnerable West Islanders. She was the epitomy of compassion and kindness. She will be missed!
WICA said goodbye to two community leaders in recent weeks. Joan Hadrill was a dedicated volunteer in our Church Apartment Program and a community activist. You can read about her in the West Island Gazette. She will be missed!
