For the past three years, Geneviève has conducted art classes on a regular basis in a retirement house. As part of the Rendez-Vous Arts (RVA) program, she introduces participants to painting and water painting. At the end of the year, the finished paintings are collected and some are chosen to be presented at our Annual Rendez-Vous Arts exhibition. This year’s exhibition will be held
A big thank you to the Kirkland Concert Band and all those who came out in support of our Mother’s Day Concert and Tea on Saturday, May 7 at the Dorval Strathmore Church. More than $900 was raised and all proceeds will go to fund the many programs WICA offers.

WICA was sad to hear about the passing of Mary McAskill who would have celebrated her 100th birthday this year. She was a long-time volunteer for WICA and when she needed help herself, she was matched with a volunteer who visited her every week, sometimes twice a week, for the past 11 years. They were great friends and they enjoyed each other’s company. Since
