Warren Wilfred Thomas Award for Extraordinary Service to the Community

Warren Thomas was a compassionate, giving individual who deeply cared for his wife, family, friends, community, and animals. His commitment to service, kindness, and compassion for the less fortunate and vulnerable members of his community left a lasting impact.

As the Treasurer at West Island Citizen Advocacy, Warren’s passing in June 2023 was a significant loss, and we continue to miss him.

In our desire to honor Warren’s memory and to celebrate the values he embodied, we have established the Warren Wilfred Thomas Award for Extraordinary Service to the Community.  Starting in 2024, we are proud to announce the inaugural presentation of this award during our Annual General Meeting to be held June 18th at the Valois Bay Nautical Centre at 4:30 pm.

West Island Citizen Advocacy (WICA) will sponsor and present the award, aiming to recognize an individual who exhibits extraordinary service to the community over time.
