VAXICODE: DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION

October 8th 1:00-3:00pm

As of Sept.15th, a proof of vaccination (Vaxicode) is required to enter any restaurant, bar or certain public spaces. Let us guide you in downloading and installing the Vaxicode onto your cell phones. Please bring your cell phone, medicare card and dates of vaccination to this course.

Exploring the Basics of Dementia

The seminar will focus on the different types of dementia, how to distinguish normal memory loss associated with aging and dementia, key indicators to be on the lookout for, and how to get a loved one help if you think they have dementia.

Vaccine Info-Session with a Covid Nurse

Over the past year, it has been difficult to stay up to date on the latest information regarding Covid, and its Delta variant. Now that most of us have been vaccinated, it leaves us with a lot of questions. This will be followed by an open-question session to address all concerns.

During this info-session, topics include :

  • Current Covid situation
  • The reality of Boosters
  • The Delta variant: what we need to know
  • Methods to boost your immune system

Know your Tablet: A Beginner’s Guide

Tablets have become overwhelmingly popular during the Covid crisis.  Although many of you might use it to keep in touch with your loved ones, there are many other things that tablets can do for you, especially during this time. Bring your tablet and join us to discover new ways to enjoy your tablet. A question and answer session will follow where your individual concerns can be addressed.

Topics include:

– Gestures (Tap, Drag, Scroll, Swipe, Pinch to 

 Zoom, Double Tap)

– Internet / WiFi / Connecting your device

– Tablet Navigation

– Its various uses (ie: email, banking, shopping,

 virtual visits, etc.)

Eighteen months into the pandemic, we are all having second thoughts and concerns about going back into a “normal” life. From picking up groceries to medication and any other daily tasks can be quite stressful. This two hour course will give you some tips and suggestions on what YOU can do to begin Your journey to reintegration – feeling calm, confident and empowered.
